Dark Legion Guild

The final patch is live for world of warcraft and Dark Legion is hard at work on it's new raid Dragon Soul.  Our 25 man was able to down the 1st boss but with issues of patch day blues we didn't have the bodies to continue.  The following day we broke into a 10man and got up to the sixth boss before we had to call it a night.  We actualy went at such a fast pace and with so much excitement that we completely forgot to take screen shots or videos of the fights.

Firelands has been out for a while now, and from the very early stages of it we realized the potential for our guild to get a legendary weapon.  This has actually been a long standing curse with our guild.  We select someone to get the legendary and just days before they get it, some RL issue happens and they quit WOW all together and never get the legendary.  We have tried and tried through expansions.  This time we had hope.  It is a DPS caster staff and everyone knew immediately who it should go to.  Our leader who has always passed on more loot than he should.  He for sure deserved it, but he also attends every raid so we knew he would get it too.  The staff is no easy thing to obtain though.  There are several stages to getting the staff and all but one require a solid guild to do it.  After months of work though, last night was the night of nights!  It started out pretty rough however.  It turned out Diclonius had a real life issue that he was not going to be able to make the raid.  On the night of nights!?  How expected of DL.  We all prepared to call the raid in hopes that Diclonius could make it the following day, but just 2 minutes before the raid was called he suddenly appears and is ready to go.  We had some serious time to make up while still wanting to get our heroic mode Shannox in.  Overall we did great up to Ragnaros.  Diclonius achieved all the items he needed and only needed to kill Ragnaros, but it was getting pretty late and the guild fumbled a little bit.  One last go with a pep talk and a bit of emphasis led to us downing Ragnaros and getting our great man Diclonius his legendary staff!  Of course, all we got to show for it ourselves was a little pet, but it is pretty cool.

Heroic Mode is a great way of making a game that much harder.  With our downing of Ragnaros in 25 man we set forth on HM Shannox.  It didn't take us long to work out the kinks in our strategy and we have been easily downing him for the past couple weeks.  We have set our eyes on Major Domo for our next kill as we wait for patch 4.3 to come out.

We should have some exciting news on the Legendary staff quest very soon!

We have been hard at work with our 10 and 25man raiding.  As we continue to gear people out we have formed a solid raiding group.  So solid that we were easily getting 6/7 bosses down.  Our 10 man pulled themselves together to down Ragnaros last week and took that knowledge to the rest of the guild and our 25 man was then able to successfully conquer all the bosses of firelands!

Our special warlock Diclonius is just one week away from finishing his quest for the legendary staff!
